The Hours and Eternity

The Hours and Eternity

When we think of diseases, which are capable of radically changing the lives of those affected by them, in a very short space of time, we usually think of cancer or HIV, not of ME/CFS or Long-Covid. Without intent to downplay the importance of the former, the difference is, that ME/CFS in particular makes those affected by it, disappear entirely from their own lives, thus robbing them of any opportunity to draw attention to themselves.

But what does it mean to suffer from ME/CFS or Long-Covid?! What does this actually mean healthwise?
What are the social consequences of this? What role does it play, that there are still no options for medical treatment or therapy, that research is still neglected? It actually goes this far, that patients are not taken seriously by their own doctors, and even a large part of them medical professionals, who are supposed to treat them. At last many are pushed into a corner, and treated as psychological or psychiatric patients.

How all of this affects people suffering from ME/CFS, and what their everyday lives looks like, is the journey the filmmakers want the audience to take on. We want to tell you of the everyday struggles and difficulties, worries and fears, that those affected are confronted with every day.
